At what temperature does Tarmac, as in Roads, start to melt?
Answers:
That depends very much on which part of the world you live in. The make-up of the Tarmac differs in different countries. Here in Spain where summer temperatures are fairly high, the formula of the Tarmac is different to that in the UK where normally, the summer temps are somewhat lower. I don't know the technical details, but it has to do with endurance of the Tarmac, melting point of the Tar and so on. Hope that helps.
when i was waiting for a train in the middle of july all of the tarmac was melting on the platform and got stuck to my shoe :(
Obviously around 36 C ( thats the shade temp ) , so whatever it is in direct sun.. make a guess 50c +
its around 32 did you not see the news couple of weeks ago it was so hot the gritters had to go spread ground up marble on some roads to stop the tarmac from coming off i think it was in yorkshire lincoln area although i am not sure
