How do I trace my Moms 1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe.?

Bought new in Columbus Ohio at the end of 1962 after the 63s had been released. It was white on white with red trim

Answers:
If the car still exists, you could try carfax, or the DMV. You'll need the VIN, of course, but you will be able to find where it is--who owns it. A 62 Sport Coupe would probably still be surviving because of this popular body style. And yes, you'll find out if it's been crushed. I, and all of my cousins, fondly remember our aunt's '72 Barracuda, and we last saw it in 1976. So I decided to track it down one day, and I did find it! Also, this is a popular technique for musclecar freaks--when they come across an early high performance engine, they get the number off of it, track down and buy the car it was out of, buy the car, and practically double it's value!
police
I'm sure it's been melted down by now.
go to the dmv
'62 is a bit hoary for cars but have all information available (esp. a VIN #, if available), then www.carfax.com. or use any search engine on-lne.
carfax, if it was still around when carfax started up
Yes,The vin will help you find the car.If the car has been crushed,it will come back as a junk title..Good luck,Nice cars.
