What is the best oil to use in a Audi A4 1.9 TDI?

Answers:
Hi
It depends on which version of the 1.9 TDI engine you have. if it's the 115/130 BHP PD engine then it must conform to the makers spec (fully synthetic) as the engine will not tolerate a lesser oil, the specification info can be found in your owners handbook. If it's the 110 bhp engine then a good high spec mineral oil for Turbo diesels will do. Please note as with many things in this world you get what you pay for and your engine should last a lot longer on synthetic oil. After all why ruin a good car for the want of a few quid spent on e decent oil

the most expensive!
Baby oil?
Castrol GTX
it depends where you live, if it gets real cold go with 5w/30 but if you are in a hot area you might want straight 30. then if you leak oil you might want straight 50 wieght.
motor car oil
Best advice i would give you is ask your local Audi dealer but i would say you should use the best you can and put an engine oil flush through first so it is completely clean all through
Fully synthetic 5w /30 you have a great car Regards Mick
the dearest for turbo diesel
castrol oil for diesel engine
yeah mobil 1 and 5w30
Diesel!
You need to find an oil that meets VW/AUDI 505.01 standards. Look for pentosyn oil part number mo5w40ts.
