Can anyone recommend a good hgv guide?

there is nothing different on a truck compared to a car in reality, if you exclude the trailer coupling and air lines, just everything is bigger
there are too many different trucks for there to be a generic guide on how to fix things, even getting at bulbs is different truck to truck.
Most truck companies use fast fit companies to come out to broken trucks, and you don't tend to get issued any tools so fixing at the roadside is generally not really possible.
Only manual likely to be any use to you is the user manual supplied with any truck you happen to be driving.
Im assuming u are about to do your test. To be honest, just remember the sequence in which you make the trailer safe (Brake, legs etc) and you will be fine. Whatever the instructer shows you will suffice. I had people telling me that you need to know this that and the other about the mechanics of the rig. NOT TRUE!!! Make sure you know which Hydrolic line goes where, make sure you know to put brakes on the trailer, make sure you kow which order everything goes in and you will be fine. I promise
