Why do White Van Men drive so close behind you?

The average white van driver has an IQ of 10, this means that messages take longer to go from their eyes to their brain and then their brain does not know what to do with the info. So when they come up behind you their brain puts them in moron gear and they just sit there waiting for their brain to tell them to do something else. They are not deliberately on your tail they just cant make a decision without a drink, or a scratch of their hairy ****.
they are courier drivers and dont give a fuk.
Because they are on the mobile phone, reading a map, looking at the newspaper & serching for a radio station..ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
Most of them should be taken off the roads, these vans are far to powerful these days. Like taxi drivers they are a law unto themselves

because their attention span is so short that if the you left a bigger gap and u braked, they would have forgotten what the red lights were for by the time they arrived at your spot.

I ride a motorbike and am fed up with car driving ******* who have to sit a foot from my back wheel at 70+ mph.

most van drivers have been out all day and do not want to sit behind some one in the middle lane owners club, or the i pay my road tax so i will use all the lanes at once club
or the sad .. you might be on a motor cycle and i might be stuck in traffic , so i will try my hardest to block your path type person

The pea brain drivers think that they can make you go faster,it makes me drive slower just to wind them up
I believe they think they will save money by not using up the diesel whilst in your slip stream.

they are often poorly educated and low achieving. Thus, when they get behind a wheel it gives them a sense of control they tend to lack in other areas of their lives. Driving is an opportunity to express 'I'm in charge here' and is a conduit for their aggression. Scaring other motorists, what a power trip. Also, they probably don't own the vehicle or pay the insurance premiums so they're not too fussed if they cause an accident.
