My car windows rattle and the garage is quoting £300 aprox to fix !?
Answers:
Have you checked the rubber seal around the window to see if it have split or corroded or just come out of place?
Sounds like they have seen you coming, you should try another garage.
What exactly are they proposing to do ? Have they found a fault that they can guarantee will be fixed, or are they just jerking around ? Worth asking a few questions, and even getting another couple of quotes.
You do not have to take your car to a main dealer any more to protect your warranty.
Also, is this a quote - in which case it will be exactly some amount, or an estimate - i.e. just a guess that could easily double.
i'm guessing you talk about a sidewindow..,because if your front or rearwindow would rattle, then that would be really not normal.
if it is the sidewindow,i suggest to turn it a lil down, and then shake on the window, give you the oppertunity to watch what is the rattling sound.,most likely it will be a rubber that is displaced.
What car is it? Is it rattling in the up position or down. Take the inside door panelling off and have a look around, it might be something obvious that you can fix yourself and for a fraction of the price.
Break a peg in half, you'll see it's wedge shaped, gently tease
this down the insidw, works everytime!
What are they going to chuck in a couple of free doors fitted with glass?
Maybe you should go somewhere else, no I will rephrase that, You should go somewhere else
sounds like the bottom stick this out the window and tell them to kiss it
omg try to fix it yourself
