I presume you mean the engine management warning light its a picture of an engine with a bolt of lightening through it ? this doesnt mean its emissions it means the engine has gone in to "limp home mode" vuaxhalls unlike a lot of other vehicle have back up sensors for when one fails of when a fault is detected, if you want you can take it to a vauxhall dealer however any garage that has a code reader will be able to read the fualt that has come up, this will give you a general idea of whats wrong, but be careful as there could be an underlying fault if for example it says the o2 sensor is faultty it might be the voltage supply to the sensor or the earth not just the sesnsor as a lot of people imagine so you need to make sure that wherever you take it the mechanics are good at diagnosing
their could be a fault with the electronics inside if this is the case take it to a garage and they can have a look at it for you, even though the car might be working but I'd take it to a garage if your concerned..
get a vauxhall garage to plug a tech 2 diagnosis machine into the vehicle,this should come up with the fault(s)
