I used to be able to tolerate him. Now I find him an opinionated, arrogant, xenophobic <expletive> who's so up himself, I have to switch over. A shame, because Top Gear is quite a good programme.

I live in the states and I LOVE top gear. I read alot of car magazines and to find a show that is unbiased about cars is wonderful. The guys from top gear are amazing at what they do and listening to them all three argue at each other is great. I love the challenges, especially the races, and i love the test drives. Im really sad that i do not have it through my cable and that I have to watch recorded versions off the net. I first started watching back in college and i now have a place for Jeremy "POWER" Clarkson, "Hamster," "Captain Slow," and of course the Stig in my heart. All other sources of car info are rubbish!
I think he is exactly what the motoring public want him to be. He is not arrogant he just gets bored quickly. He is opinionated but to be a good journalist you have to be. He also does'nt take himself to seriously and is happy to make jokes upon himself. And he also keeps cutting the Hampster down to size which although not a hard job is always worth while!!

cars which have no interest to the average person.
