Is £2,295 for a W reg renault megane with 88,000 on the clock a good deal?

I need a new car sharpish! I have test driven it, tried the breaks -ok. No swerving etc.

Answers:
If the car is immaculate with a full service history then it is just a little too expensive, say £2000, beware at this time Renault used to say a service every 18000 miles which was 12000 miles too long, the car needs oil changes much more often than that.

The car will not be worth much after two more years, a Golf would be better longer term
You can get them alot cheaper if you go to the auctions
Sound OK to me. But I am a girl, so I'll leave it up to you if you take my advice!

Do you have a mechanic-ey friend or someone who knows about this stuff you can take with you? You can borrow my Dad if you like, thats who I normally take!!
if its got warranty and its from a garage i would nt worry but never jump into buying a car unless your sure of it 100% the price is ok
Not bad, but I got a X reg Fiat Punto with 33,000 on the clock for a few hundred more than that. I would say in the region of £1,800 would be more acceptable.

Anyway, try this website - you can check the supposed value of any car you want to buy or sell:

Good luck!
88, means nothing if the vehicle was properly maintained if not well maintained 20,000 is to much millage
