when i check in the morning before i turn engine on the level is ok ,and when i drive more than 30 - 40 km the screen turns red and says low oil level 1 mal function.
Answers:
Once the engine is hot (20 min of driving), check the oil. If it reads low, add more oil. Make sure the oil filter is not leaking - if it is, take it off and make sure the washer is okay, and reattach it.
If there is oil in the engine and you're still getting the error, take it to the dealership.
You may possibly have to get service indicator reset @ mercedes or good garage, we do it @ garage I work at. Nothing is ever straight foward with cars is it.
