My tyres are rubbing on my wheel arches..help!?

what you need to do is go to a bodyshop and get your arches rolled and try going a size smaller on the tyres!
and as you've lowered it you would be well advised to buy a strut brace as well as this will make the car handle totally different and have a lot lot less body roll!

you already answered your q it is either the susspension or tyres are to big what have you changed thats made it go like that. then you'll have your answer just reverse it.
tyres could bo to big your going to need lower profile tyres, are you sure the wheels are the right off set for your car. havent got a clue what any of that means b/f told me to put it hope it helps

Local body shop can modify bodywork. But it costs.
Its probably the suspension.
My sister had a Corsa, and it gave her nothing but problems. What a pile of crap.
Sounds like you know the answer already. Corsas were not designed to have the suspension lowered that much.

Change the size of your tyres why did you get it lowered for the amount of speed humps dont help too
You are right in both instances, you need to beef up your suspension and your tires are too big. If you want the big tires then you need to raise the suspension some. If it is the rear you can get air shocks or heavy duty.
As you have lowered your car and put on bigger tyres then you need to beef up the shocks but also you need to change the bumpstops on the car and make them longer as the tyre is hitting the body before the suspension hits the bump stop

there's a few things U can do, firstly U can fit bigger bump stops.
U can cut out the wheel arches, and fit wider, or flared ones
U can bend in the lip of the wheel arch so it does not rub
or U can get smaller wheels, or lower profile tyres, or just thinner wheels
it all depends on where the tyres are getting rubbed
Take it in for a new petrol cap. It would be a fair swap.
Trying to make a Corsa look sporty is akin to a silk drees on a donkey to make it look graceful.
Those big wheels make also play havok giving you a false reading on your speedo.

I think youve got quite a big problem. I think the solution, possibly being one of the cheepest, would unfortunately to get the suspension raised again (presuming that its gas suspension, and that the people who did your suspension didnt cut through the main suspension springs.) Or at least to a ride height that wouldnt inflict the tires or wheel arch getting rubbed.
Changing the whole suspension unit can lead to problems such as revealing rust or weak patches in the sub frame, or metal corrosion, if two different metals, such as the sub frame and suspension being welded together if they are different metals, aswell as a big hole in yout bank account.
If you were to change the wheel size, or the tyre size to a smaller one, this would make the car look out of proportion (if you havnt already put larger wheels on) and would also, give a false reading of the car speed, as the wheel circumference has been altered.
You havnt given the year of your car, but id say that if its gonna cost more than the car is worth to get this problem solved, id just try to sell it to one of these boy racers rather swiftly, and just cut your losses.

head straight to the local body shop and get the arches rolled
its a common prob and some even say that if u aren't getting rubbage u ain't low enough. they just heat the paint so it doesn't flake and then foll the inner lip back its not too expensive but tis a very easy solution compared to some ideas
Try raising the car 40 mm
depends where its rubbing..if its on the back wheels try takin out ur plastic mud guards tht go inside the arch, if its hittin the arches thn they'll prob have to be rolled. how wide r ur wheels?? if u got thm from a shop they shouldve given u the right offset to counteract them being wider thn the steel wheels ( the wheels would sit deeper in to arch n so wouldnt rub) my bro had a corsa lowered 40 mm wi 15 inchers on n had no probs, didnt need arches rolled either so prob an offset problem. should only need to start modifying round the arches if u put on anything bigger thn 15's .
