Does anyone know the intervals for the timing belt change on a MG ZS 180 (2001)?

Need to know the intervals for the timing belt change and a rough idea of cost.

Answers:
rover recomend 25/45/zr/zs/75 every 90,000 or six years whatever first, remove and install is two hours work, hope this helps rob
the norm on all timing belts is about 60k miles. although they will run up to about 90k miles.it isn't reccomended as it will go on you without warning and leave you stranded.

The belt itself can run upwards of about $40.labor depends on the garage and what they charge.
If the car is 5 years old, and you don't know if or when the belt was last changed - its due NOW! The cost is going to be a lot less than a new engine.
I would reccomend an interval of 60,000 thats more than ample for a belt on my cavalier i actually changed the belt evvery 30,000
At the service nearest 40,000 miles. Change the alternator belt at the same time.
They are a lot cheaper than them snapping and the pistons shutting the valves for you!
