You could try to do it yourself but it's a job that isn't as easy at it might seem - you can get one from a scrap yard (you can order 2nd hard parts via some web based scrap yards) or from ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/peugeot-expert-806.
I think the actual part is an 'all-in-one' unit and so it'll be the dash that needs replacing (not just the speedo dial).
Cost depends on the type - digital or analog? For a new analog part, you're probably looking it £200 plus 1-2hrs of Peugeot labour at about £65 per hour.
best to get one from a junk yard $80-$120

You might have a hard time in the states finding that from a salvage yard. This other gent is right check or have your cable checked. If you do need replacement parts you can look around online. You can check out Summit racing .com or Jegs.com. You can get their numbers there and they might be able to stear you in the right direction. If not try this number, 1-800-846-2774, its to Barger Madsen. A huge salvage yard that has just about every thing(or they know where to look) you could ever need at pretty good prices. They shipp to just about any where.
