How do i know if my car is a saloon or hatchback?
Answers:
If it has four doors and glass in the boot door then it's actually a five door hatchback no glass in the boot door it's a four door saloon
Hatchback cars are the ones with the fifth door in the back. Some are the lift up types and some are the swing out types.
If your car has a trunk and no rear door then it is a saloon.
c
saloon has a boot wheras a hatchback has well .. a hatchback
never heard of a saloon car dude
Have sex in the back. If you hurt the next day?
has it got a boot or does it just have one large back door with the window included? The former will make it a saloon, the latter a hatchback
There are two different shapes of Focus, if its the common one with the rounded end, hatchback then
I think the word is "Sedan", not "saloon", and the difference is whether the trunk hatch opens only into the trunk, or does it open into the whole car.
If the rear glass opens with the boot, it is a hatchback.
Basically if it has a big boot it is a saloon. Look on your V5. It will tell you
I have never heard of a "saloon" in reference to a car, are sure it is not asking if is a sedan?
Oh that's an easy one.
If its a saloon there'll be a long bar on one wall with a guy serving drinks. Maybe a few cowboys at the poker table and another one over by the piano chatting up a lady of ill repute.
If you don't have any of that; then it's probably a hatchback. :^)
I believe that the Saloon is a option package. This could mean that the car has semi-custom exhaust.
If you have a hatchback you do not have a trunk. The back of the car open to a cargo area that is also accesible from the back seat.
You've got a saloon. It's slightly longer than the hatchback (with 5 doors) so it has a longer exhaust.
Its all about the back end of your car - I thought all guys knew everything about cars. As I understand it.. if it's a hatch back and you have 2 doors on each side people call it a 5 door because the whole hatch (boot door) lifts up (which includes the back window). On a saloon its just the boot opening that flips up - not the back window. Hope this has helped and not confused things more!!
a hatchback has the rear window integrated with the boot/trunk door saloon has them seperate
well you already said you have four doors--if you had a hatchback you would not really have a trunk--but you know you don't have a wagon
A hatch back is a car that does not have a boot. The rear opening and the rear windshield open in full. A saloon on the other hand has a separate boot which does not intrude into the cabin.
got a boot its saloon
A hatchback has a sloping rear door. Its difficult to explain the difference in words, but cars such as the Chrysler 300C and BMW 3-series are saloons, and cars such as the Honda Civic 3-door and VW Golf are hatchbacks. Hope this clarifies your situation.
hahah these answers are funny. Your Right Saloon is how europeans refer to sedans. Never heard the term saloon car ?
you have a saloon, a hatchback is termed as 5 door.
Actually it shouldn't make a jot of difference for the exhaust as the hatch and saloon should use the same one.
Before the Focus Ford made the Escort and Orion, being the hatchback and saloon version repsectively, and they used exactly the same floorplan, engine, transmission, exhaust etc. The only difference was the bodywork.
If you want to make 100% sure call your local Ford dealership and they will tell you the part number you need.
As a general rule if a car has an even number of doors it is a saloon and if it has an odd number it is a hatch or fast back (unless it is an estate car of course).
Erm? as far as I know they only do the Focus with a hatchback.
If you look at the rear of the car carefully, you'll see a slant there; it's a hatchback. A saloon is also called a notchback. Is that enough info for you?
