I bought a new car key for my toyota import. how do i program the chip for lock and unlock on the key?

Hi there are ways to program these keys but i need more info on the car model i.e. Avensis year of manufacture most don't need computer equipment to program the keys re-post question with more info and I'll see what i can do also what colour your original key is is useful to know
This is something the dealer should do for you.
Unless you have the very expensive computer program, and know all the steps to do, you don't. Take it to the dealer.
This is something that's done at the dealership, but remmember to bring the rest of your keys.

take it to your nearest toyota dealer ship service department.
