Company is not in turmoil its gone bankrupt you can still get Rover parts through X Rover dealers who still have large stocks of spares.

yes the lack of parts idea is a myth as i believe shanghai automotives still make rover cars and parts in china
I have a Rover 75 & MG ZS and have no problem getting parts. my local dealer (now Mazda) still stocks the parts. Most of the parts manufacturers still churn them out. Some early 75's use BMW parts and the are cheeper from BMW. I have now garaged my 75 and use the MG daily and would not part with either.
Yes you can buy spare parts for your rover their are plenty of dealers still open Rover cars never owned rover parts so their still going its called X-parts just look up your rover dealer._
The remaining assets of the MG Rover company were bought by Nanjing Automotive of China. However they did not get the rights to the Rover versions of the cars (as MG Rover had already sold the rights to the 25 and 75 to Shanghai Automotive, also of China, and Honda still owned most of the rights to the 45, based on an older Civic) nor to the Rover name and badge (BMW still owned that, although reports last week suggest they've just sold it to Shanghai Automotive).
Both Nanjing (using the MG badge) and Shanghai (using the Rover badge) are planning to launch revised versions of the Rover 75/MG ZT in the next couple of years, and possibly also revised versions of the 25.
MG Rover had already contracted the supply of spare parts to a company called X-Part which is owned by Caterpillar Logistics. This company is still supplying spare parts to the former MG Rover dealers, so spares won't be a problem so long as there are still enough cars on the roads for X-Part to remain profitable.
