Transport for 2 children with special needs?

we have 2 children,one severely handicapped,no mobility,speech and poor eyesight,second child, autistic, serious risk, we bought a car a people carrier, from a local garage,"will meet your needs,also reliable, 16 weeks down the road, car requiring extensive repairs, wiring harness and gearbox repair £2300, garage attitude "we have no moral or legel obligation to involve ourselves" dont even go down the road of warranty taken out to safeguard for events such as this, "not covered" desperate to find a solution,we are at our wits end, children are off school,we have no transport,

I really sympathise with your current problem, however I don't think that you will get anything out of the garage but I could be wrong.

Get on to your local citizens advise bureau to see what your rights are.

I wish that someone could come along and lend you something until you get the matter resolved. Perhaps someone will once they have read this.

On a slightly different note, do you have Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for your children. It shoulds like they would qualify for the higher level of DLA meaning you would be awarded motability, which you could then use to sort out a finance agreement on a brand new motor.
Can social services do anything?
Or get in touch with your local tv news.
Some wealthy local businessman will will pay for your car fixing.

Wrong, the garage is legaly obliged to sell you a car that is road worthy in the first place. Get an independant inspector or the AA to inspect the car for old faults. Report these to the garage and threated to shove a solicitor up their a rses if they dont refund your money.
