What is Auto dimming?
I was wondering what Auto dimming side mirrors do, and are they all that useful?
Answers:
Probably similar to auto dimming center mirrors.
Front and rear facing sensors in the body of the mirror housing detect ambient light levels and automatically adjust the reflective quality of the mirror, thereby attenuating the reflected light of headlights from any cars behind you.
Usefulness is in the eyes of the beholder.
If someone behind you has very bright lights, you're mirrors will automatically dip to reduce the glare, like the switch on the interior mirror.(yes, very useful)
