My peugeot 306 wont start?the temp gauge went right up.the remote locking just makes a clicking noise.help?
Answers:
Check for poor earth connection a lot of late model Peugeot's are having similar problems try the battery earth which connects to the gearbox just follow the wire down and check if it is fraying it should attach to the gearbox and the body on the inner wing easy repair if it's broke just remove the wire and replace with a new one hope this helps
battery ?
not sure about the temp gauge, but the rest indicates a flat battery, they are trying to work which is why there is the clicking, that's the sound of the switch operating, but there isn't enough power for the actual motor to work. Charge the Battery!!
Perhaps faulty electrics, have a look at your handbook, but if the temp gauge was right up, you need to put some water in, good luck.
i had the same problem with my 306, wit the temp gauge
it sounds like a the head casket is gone,
if you know a mechanic he should charge around £300
