What do you think about Renault?

Answers:
They are good cars but you have to find a good dealer to support it. I've used the same dealer fo my last seven Renaults, and have few problems.

They have announced they will have 'drive by wire' systems in their 'Laguna' within 3 years. Now that will be something!
Cr@p, i just got rid of one it was always plagued with problems!
a vehicle
my wife likes them...enuff said!
v. safe cars. have made some decent cars- gearbox on some bit dogey.
Predictable, French, run of the mill, family cars. Wouldn't buy myself.
street cars - i dont know

but in formula one, they are giving a tough tough fight to big names like mclaren and ferrari

thats something yeah ?
We had a megane cabriolet which was fantastic now we have a scenic as we have a family, they are okay but I am going to trade it in for a sliding door model. God how empty is my life???
I'm really happy with mine. I feel very safe in it and would reccoment them to others.
I had a clio..second hand one it had done 100000 miles and it was fine.until the engine blew up on the motorway at 70 miles an hour!! Luckily I managed to pull over to the hard shoulder.the guy from green flag who rescued me told me that it was beyond repair so I gave it away and they got it fixed for 80 quid..duh!!
They make some weird looking cars, I really don't like the current Megane.
Like the T.V. advert
they're doing quite well at the moment
their keyless entry system is a technical marvel.
So is their start stop system
reliable engines
the automatic parking break on the scenic is again a thechnical wonder!!
The Laguna/Scenic and Megane are all very nice cars (haven't tried the latest clio yet)
So if you do want a French car go for Renault
i have got a meganne and ihate it. one more year left until i've paid for it yeah.
Lots of features in their cars, maybe a bit quirky, but I found spares to be very expensive.
I dislike them, since they ruined American Motors in the 80's. It was a way for them to try to get their product sold in America, and it ended up that it took a company down.
they stoped makeing them years ago so there might not be easy to find parts
you need passion to drive a renualt and if you dont den dont by it but if you like it then 'f' everyone esle and get what you love ok that is the way to do it, and if you look after it properly you will not have any problems with it that is what i know, i am planning to buy one soon
Had Laguna 2.0 Rti old shape for two years comfortable to drive good engine however build quality left a lot to be desired
I like my Mégane. There do seem to be a few rogue ones about, but mine has been pretty good so far. Not as reliable as a Toyota, but looks much better than a Corolla any day.
My dealer has been good too - always been ready for me when I've made an appointment, and appear to have done a decent job at keeping the car serviced etc.
Our first renault was a Renault 18 we bought in the 'winter of discontent'. We had decided to buy British but, after many weeks of waiting, got fed up and had a look at Renault. We could have had one straight out of the showroom but had to wait a couple of DAYS to get the colour we wanted. It turned out to be a great car.
Our second renault was my Renault 5 - a pocket rocket! what a car! I just loved it! Everything about it was just so RIGHT!
Then we bought a Laguna, second hand, but it had been well looked after. Comfortable, reliable, lovely to drive. We had an accident on the blackice last winter and wrote it off, with 150,000 miles on the clock, still going strong, still looking like brand new.
Now we have a Laguna II, with all the safety gadgets, it's really lovely. Comfortable, great drive, beautiful colour.
renault are very reliable cars will drive forever and hold there value reasonably well, but if anything does go wrong you will pay fortunes for parts alone.
They are not bad at making cars, some of the new models are really nice and sound good and the renault team are doing well in F1
the new Clio appears to be better then the last one but only time will tell the new megane looks different but still quite weak in some things compared to rivals.the espace is not bad but not very reliable.the laguana is only average but again they all have niggles that Renault still haven,t put right.as far as sports hatches go the Clio 2 litre has always been a hoot to drive but a ***** to work on.seems strange as they own Nissan they seem a whole lot better in every way and still not been able to learn from there experiences to help them improve there own cars.good at formula 1 though.
Dont rate any french cars but I suppose Renaults are better than citreons
They are French (surrender monkee, cheese eating) made pieces of junk.
wouldnt want to own one out of warranty, lovely drive but far too many gadgets to go wrong.
