Bio diesel. any tips?
Answers:
Used cooking oil, a strainer, a diesel vehicle to put it in. Works best with a separate fuel tank because the vehicle will start easier with the refined diesel. Just install a switch to change tanks. One test out here was getting 450 MPG in a diesel Golf using this method. Of course that is because he is only using the diesel for starting and shutting down. The bio diesel is essentially free. Lots of info on the Internet about how to procure used oil and how to modify the car to use it. Pretty simple stuff. No high tech equipment at all.
What's the question?
just use the cheapest cooking oil money can buy, ad 50mm white spirit per 5 gallon
I thought about converting my FJ-40 but I'm hearing guys are having problems down the road.

ok, i bought a diesel volvo 760. johnny ran it on oil, not from the chinese, or anyhwre nice, he went to dirty dans burger van. but it ran, it did 120mph on the way home.
now the bad news; oil is acidic, it eats the injector pump, which isnt designed to run in acidic oil, its designed to run in diesel, which is neutral PH. the volvo had been used for less than 3000 miles on oil, and cost almost 600 quid to fix. mind you that was 3 years ago and it hasnt missed a beat since. but, the volvo is 18 years old, and had 150 000 on the clock.
