How can i drain my focus 2005 diesel tank?

i have put petrol in my diesel tank and need to know how to drain it

Answers:
For gosh sakes, don't even start the car.

If you ran your car even for a moment, you will also have to drain all of the gas from your fuel lines. You should drain everything and replace your fuel filter.

Draining your tank of fuel (part gasoline and part diesel) will create a hazardous waste. You probably should have your car towed to a professional, who will do the job right, and dispose of your fuel properly.

NEXT TIME, pay close attention to the size of the nozzle at the gas station. Look at the size of the filler opening. You see, they make them different sizes for a reason.
pretend like your stealing gas from another car.you can get most of it out that way. good luck
oops, good luck.
Are you from another country?
I did not hear of a Focus with a diesel.
I would pull fuel line off after pump then cycle key on and off till tank dry
Gee, I hope you did'nt run it after you did that.
anyway, I used an aquarium drainer line to drain my Isuzu, when I replaced the sending unit. You can get one at the local pet store. It might take you more than that though. You might need to drop the tank, mop up the excess petrol, and replace your fuel filters.
hi Craig its Craig,

you need a hose and suck out the petrol. have a drink handy in case you accidently get a mouth full of petrol.

good luck.
put like a straw in the tank, suck it through, then put in another kinda pot of desil, you would get bit petrol in ur mouth, but thats wat they did in old days the nick petrol llo
I didn't think a fella would ever do that, well i didnt think one would admit to doing it! gud luck with it!!
since when do ford focuses run on diesel? ive never heard of that.
take a large spike or a big nail and a hammer. slide under the car and whack the nail into the bottom of the tank. Take out nail.job done !!!
Dead easy lift the rear seats and you will see a round cover about 5 inches in diameter, remove cover you are now looking at the sender unit(for fuel gauge).
remove the 2 pipes + 1 electrical connection, it is held in with a locking ring which needs to be unscrewed, lift out the sender unit(have a rag to catch the drops of diesel/petrol mix)
Pump the fuel out.
you can now put it all back together then fill as usual or fill via hole in top of fuel tank(where sender was).
you shouldn't need to bleed the fuel system as these cars have 'Bosch p' pumps(self bleeding)
Don't worry about a small amount of petrol in the fuel lines this will just cause a smokey exhaust for about 10-15 mins.
good luck!
