My 944 is running hot temp reads hot ,radiator feels cold?

Bleeding air out of the cooling system in a 944 is a little tricky and an air lock could be the problem. Do you get heat in the car? If so, your water pump and thermostat are working properly, and the most likely problem is a clogged radiator. If you don't get heat in the car, the most likely problem is a bad thermostat and the next likely is a bad water pump.
You will have to remove the timing belt to replace the water pump, so you might as well figure on a new timing belt if the water pump is the culprit. Otherwise, a thermostat replacement is not too difficult and can be done from the top of the engine.
The thing to worry about is whether the engine has overheated and damaged the cylinder head. As long as it runs smoothly before overheating, you're probably still okay.
Blockage or air lock in the system, sort it out or else, whooops
Sounds like the thermostat, should be quite cheap. If not, it could be the water pump, could be quite expensive. Take it to a garage and have them check it.
Sounds like a stuck thermostat.
your thermostat is stuck closed have a new one fitted
you have an air lock in the radiator. Probably caused by a failing head gasket or a crack in the head/main engine block. OR.. a knackered water pump..
Check/replace the engine thermostat. It could prevent water circulation if its bad.
Tricky one but i would guess either a blockage in the system somewhere caused by an air lock or gunk,or your head gasket could possibly have gone.Get a mechanic to have a look at it if you arent mechanically minded otherwise go through the system yourself, maybe removing rad and flushing it.Whilst rad is off try running water through the engine too,see if anything happens.Other possible causes are a knackered water pump or thermostat
You can test the water pump by turning on the heater in the car full blast, if it gets hot, its usually not the water pump. If you have cool air coming out then your water pump is probably gone. And I do feel for you, they are not cheap on a 944.
Could be a thermostat or clogged hose or a hose that is leaking between the res. and radiator, anything on the ground when pouring coolant in?
REPLACE THERMOSTAT MATE!
sounds like the thermostat is not opening or you have a problem with the water pump also check that nothing is preventing air air flow through the radiator
Seem like an head gasket gone and big bucks ooopps
sell it and get a real car
