i dont think there is a right answer to this. Police can see excuses a mile off. You wont get any preferential treatment for being a cleverdick.

Cops get off by telling people what to do, so just do it and they will be happy. (as long as it is within your rights)

I think I'd be too shocked to say anything. I've been stopped before but that was routine checks they stop every other car for and you don't have to get out. So I'm not really sure what I would say in that situation.

You wont get any preferential treatment for being a cleverdick so dont go pissing them off and make things worce for your self just cooparate with the police 100% of the time an asnser all there qestions corectly n truthfully and u will find that most cops will b happyer and then u are more likely to b let off with just a warning so then u will b more happyer and itll save u money n time as if u get charged just think of the hassle u have with your insurance company and u may even lose your driving licence & end up with points on your licence
