I am travelling to Goa very soon and need to get an International Driving License , is it the same as a permit
I don't need to drive a car - just a scooter or small motorbike - thing is here in England i can just use my provisional and CBT - so abroad is this acceptable?..Apparantly they are cracking down on tourists hiring bikes in India - and i don't want to be stopped and fined!
Would i even be able to get an International Driving License / Permit with just a provisional UK license?
And how long does it take to get one?
Answers:
If you have JUST a provisional - you don't have a licence, and no country will accept what is essetially a 'learners permit' to hire a vehicle.
If you manage to pass a car driving test in the UK - you automatically get an 'internationally recognised licence' being a Full UK Driving Licence.
they arent educated so they cant read take a green shield stamp book with u that will do
look if you are going to Goa, you soooooo do not need an international liscence the UK one will be more than enough
OK you do not have a liscence to drive a car in UK, so no they will not give you an internation liscence. As you need to past your test first
Ohhh have a great time Goa is wonderful
No such thing as an international driving licence. It's a permit. It will cost you around £6 from the AA or RAC - just print off the form from their website.
I think you need to be a qualified driver too. Not provisional.
Try phoning your bank - most of the call centres are in India - just ask one of the operators!!
