My rover has done 987789, miles. I do not know the record. I think it is probably more than 6 million miles. Depends on your transport. My car is not in good order though.
Well,I'm a GM gypsy(Genera Motors transplanted a lot of workers since the 80's and a lot were fortunate to only be a state or 2 away or kept people within a 200mi range of their original home) I have fellow co workers with 325,000-450,000mi on their vehicles and they have no rust,no smoking engines or wore out interiors. In today's automibile with fuel inj. and overdrive transmissions milage like yours and ours are not uncommon
I sold my old peugeot 205 diesel when it had 185,000 miles on the clock. It was still going strong and doing 45 mpg.

Pushing a Peugoet around with a Toyota does not count! I don't believe a 205 would run 500 miles without a major breakdown even if it were slingshotted across the polar icecap.
