Fast flasher?

My FZR 600R has after market indicators front and rear. The left one flashes at the correct speed but the right one is twice as quick and barely more than a flicker. I have checked and both bulbs are illuminating so I know I havent blown a bulb.
Replacing the indicators with new (also after market) units makes no difference, except that both sides start flashing quickly. What can I do to slow down the rate at which they flash?

Answers:
before you replace anything, just check that the earth is good, had the problem myself

good luck
The rear bulbs are propably different from the front. When 6v bulbs are used in a 12v system, the same thing happens. Maybe the bulbs are a different wattage. Change the F & R bulbs around. F to the R and R to the F. If the problem is in the front now, get bulbs of the same rating.
you need load equilizers or you have a problem with your turn signal module/ flasher
A faster flashing rate on one side was usually the symptom of a blown bulb with one of the older cylindrical thermal flasher units. Most systems these days use relays, which are independent of the load being switched.

If you've checked the bulbs, the only other suspect is the relay.

However, if relays fail, usually the coil burns out and they don't work at all. Sometimes, but again usually only with very high current switched circuits, the contacts weld themselves closed.

The permitted flashing rate for the MoT is between 60 and 120 flashes per minute, ie. between 1 and 2 flashes per second.
have you tried installing a load equallizer ?
Buy a flasher that works with less draw. Your aftermarket signals dont draw as much juice as the stockers.
it sounds like you are not using bulbs of the correct voltage for the flasher unit.

Take out a bulb from the side that works properly, check it's voltage and current rating , will be something like 12v/21w

Make sure both bulbs on the other side are exactly the same as the one you just checked
I strongly suspect that you are awealthy good-for-nothing and do not deserve consideration let alone an answer.
