Answers:
about 65p for half a dozen large eggs.
how are you?
Depends if it's an engine-out job, but probably close to £100 anyway, more if it's an engine-out job.
Hey,
I have had a clutch fitted on my previous car.. fingers cross i won`t have too on my new car. Answer to your question is 150 pound altogether, Nothing more. This price includes labour aswell.

xx
It's difficult to say. Parts wise, you should pay no more than £70 for a new one, If you get it through a garage then they get it cheaper and add a bit extra to the labour charges. Or you can go out and buy it yourself, and pay over the counter prices, Haggle, but you won't get much off the price probably down to the nearest pound.

If you goto your local Mitsubishi dealer, they will charge you a fortune, as they are set guidelines by the manufacturer on labour charges, price charges and time allowance for the job. They also add 15-30% on the top of the price so they can up the profit margin which they lose when people haggle on the cars. You'll probably spend near £300 with them if not a little more?!?!? One thing worth a mention though, you'll get the best job as the mechanics there are more knowlegable on the car.

Ring round some garages and get ballpark figures (about 5 roughly) including parts and don't forget to say "is this the cheapest you can do it? I will pay cash!" It's amazing that line can save you a few quid. Then Visit some garages (about the same) and see what they offer, and don't forget to be freindly, but stern. When visiting you'll find most garages will haggle as you speak to the mechanics, not the receptionist. Also ask if they will check and top up fluids as a courtesy, it's not much but its a free extra for you.

Then you can phone scrap yards and breakers, ask them how much they will charge for a clutch assembly. Most will say they will break it down and sell it you off the shelf. Ask if you can do it yourself and see what they will do it at. Then when you go to the yard, wave £30 under the guy's nose and he'll probably do it for you, and pocket £30 for himself.

Good Luck. Hope this helps you.
it depends on the time it takes to get to it.

try phoning up a Mitsubishi dealer, and ask them what the book time on fitting a clutch on a Mitsubishi carisma diesel is, that will give U an idea of how long it will take.

then U can phone up other garages, and see want there hourly rate is , they would do it as quick as the Mitsubishi garage more than likely tho.

oh and the book time, is if there are no problems, ie seized bolts etc
I got mine done (petrol model) and it cost £312 that was 3 weeks ago.
