Does anybody know if a classic bike for 1964 needs road tax.?

Answers:
All road vehicles need a disc, renewed annually.
However, for a 'historic vehicle' there is no charge for the disc.

All vehicles except buses and lorries used commercially, that were constructed before 1 January 1973 may tax in the 'historic vehicle' tax class.

Hence a 1964 bike needs to be taxed, but the tax charged is zero, if that makes any sense.
nope, nothing from before 72 i think needs tax as its classed as vintage
no. it don,t need any,you still need mot/insurance to get a tax disk,
pre 1973 is tax exempt, but still needs a tax disc from dvlc free issue.
just free road tax before 1972
