What material is the body of a Lotus Excel made of?

Answers:
fibre glass fitted to a steel chassis
custard
Carbon Fibre and plastic I think - it's all glued together with some epoxy stuff
Pretty sure production Lotus cars have all been made of fiberglass. The Excel was introduced in 1982. Carbon fiber (suggested in another answer) would have been an amazingly exotic material twenty-five years ago.
Fibre Glass as are nearly all Lotus cars
lycra
Glass Reinforced Plastic.
