One of the most common places these days are through the usual e bay motors section. There are a large amount there, some pick up only and some will deliver. One question you got to ask yourself is have I somewhere to use them. Because if you are planning to run them on some local 'waste' ground you should know the police are clamping down hard on these machines and the midi / mini bikes in general. The fact that there are so many available through e bay at cheap prices they are being bought by a lot of people who don't know where to ride them. I kid you not when I was in west yorkhire recently I saw a quad come out of two big gates that were the entrance to a cemetery!! The real downside for the rider was that at exactly the same time two police were riding by on their mountain bikes lol Nicked!! Poor guy. Anyway yes the quads there are cheap, but beware that these are usually chinese imports, despite that some owners will say they have honda engines, or direct copies of an established maker, they aren't they use a lot cheaper metals, and they break. On top of that the spares are a bit difficult to get, aparet from the main items like tyres spark plugs some electrical components etc. But if a crank goes for instance, forget it, you'll have to bolt inanther engine, although I suppose they are not that expensive either. So if you want quality, buy Honda or Yamaha astablished makes with good back up, or cheap and cheerful with a throw away mentality, get a cheap chinese import. If they are kids two further points. Get a machine with a regulator for the throttle so you can set the top speed available to them, and if you can some come with a remote off switch. Handy if they panic, freeze with the throttle open and are heading towards a hard surface!! needless to say best to wear good safety kit as well.
