What is the exact law regarding bus lanes and the circumstances that allow a vehicle to enter them?

Answers:
Bus Lane Enforcement
Enforcement and the Law
The rules that apply to bus lanes are clear. It is illegal for motorists other than buses to drive or stop in a bus lane during its operational hours. There are however, a number of exceptions such as police and emergency service vehicles, taxis (in most cases), vehicles collecting mail and bicycles. Road signing will clearly outline the times the bus lane is operational and which vehicles are permitted to use it within those times.
All vehicles entering the lane musst be busses or running for their lives
at the start of all bus lanes there is a sign posted with the times. outside the times anyone can drive in them
Only buses and taxis can use a bus lane at the stated times marked on lamposts. Outside of these times you can use the lane.
Only offically recognised taxis, motorcyles and bicycles are allowed to enter bus lanes. Other cars, vans and lorries are allowed into bus lanes when Emergency Vehicles are trying to get through.
At the start of every bus lane there is a sign showing the times when it is exclusively for buses and you cannot drive in them.
