Why are london buses red?

There is no documentation . to explain why red was chosen. Red colour paint tends to be more durable. Also, in terms of visibility on busy London streets amongst many other competitors, it is not difficult to see why red might have been chosen.

well ours is grey and cerise pink in Belfast just suppose the bus companys are different and someone has to pick the colour
