I would love to take my bike test, however, I have been told that the bike test is changing next year and I would be stuck on bikes under 250cc for up to 5 years, is this right or could some lovely person explain to me exactly what the tests involve, the costs, and would I be able to ride a bike over 550cc. and when they change the law too (We currently have a ZZR1100 which I love being pillion but I am too diddy to learn to ride it !!) please help thank you x.

hi you need a "direct acess" course which will allow you to ride any bike, if you take a standard test you are restricted to 33hp for 2 years, you will need a cbt first, and also a theory test. reckon for around £500
it goes by age certain ccs allowable for certain ages example 15yrs old 125cc thru 250 ccs 16yrs old 250ccs and you should be able to get your regular aout liscence and you can ride any cc you want
