Why do people not use slip roads properly?

going down a slip road to join traffic going sixty mph and the car in front is doing thirty does this wind up anyone else? And how dangerous is it, nearly every other day some dopey s*d does this and nearly causes an accident

Answers:
Nah, I'm usually on me bike and just pass 'em.

So there's a moral for you, leave the square boxes to the dopies and get some real freedom.
coz they're thick
Because people are idiots - we see the evidence every day, yet somehow it still surprises us.
I agree with you, I travel on the M62 every day and there is always some tosspot who regards it as their perfect right to ignore the give way markings and just force their vehicle onto the motorway forcing others to brake or move into another lane.
There is one person in Dallas who, if they are still alive, may never do that again. When I was young and foolish, and he was old and foolish, doing 30 right up to the highway, and I had accelerated to correct speed, I passed him on the right, horn blaring. My passenger reported the look of horror on his face.

So I nearly caused that accident, and do not recommend it as a method of dealing with these dozers. Better to wait at the beginning of the slip road until dozy is off it. Because some of these people actually stop and look both ways before getting onto the highway.
I totally agree with you.

Graham L - I was always taught that vehicles on the motorway should give way to cars joining it by moving to the middle lane. The whole idea of the slip road is to gather up enough speed to safely join the faster moving traffic.
because the standard of driving is so bad by old and new drivers i have this done to me every day as a driver i find its older people and i believe that if we have a age limit to start driving then there should be a age limit to stop driving. and its not just slip roads its roundabouts to
They are in a hurry to get to work most likely.Instead of getting up early enough to beat the traffic, they rush and wind up in the middle of it.Knowing that there late or almost late for work they speed and almost or get into accidents.
