What size is the sump bung on a 2001 206 Diesle?

Will a spanner do the job or is it a plug?

most Peugeot's have a 8mm square plug to open the sump plug which is normally available from any good motor factors
Say about that size & I think you will need a bigish spanner or a small pluggy thing.
will be either a 17 or 19mm headed bolt.
a spanner will do but only use the ring end, not the open end!
using the open end will round the bolt head and hurt your knuckles WHEN you slip.
