Any thoughts on Vauxhll Zafira vs VW Touran?

Have driven both and would have to say I Prefer the Touran.
It seemed quieter, more responsive and it was more comfortable. There was a better spec in the VW and the purple illuminated dashboard was of great amusement to the kids who were use to seeing green or orange.
The rear seats on the Touran accommodated an adult quite well and the luggage space was OK (at the expense of a spare wheel, you get a foam inflator instead).
The glass roof on the Zafira was nice and I thought it was slightly more roomy although not as comfortable.

I think both cars are equally good. The Zafira has a nice glass roof option. I think that's the extra to go for.

I would guess the importance you place on resell value should be considered. VW historically hold their prices more steadfastly than a Vauxhall. Having driven both, I personally prefer the VW - it has a more 'polished' feel both in driving quality and interior 'feel' (although obviously it depends on the specific model you go for.) Have opted for a Galaxy this time though, as the extra 'space' in the smaller MPVs is fairly illusionary..!
