Ford Ka - smallest Ford available in UK and continental Europe. Not available in the US.
First, and second car I ever drove. I have nothing bad at all to say for it. Very comfortable: a good power to weight ratio, and a tardis when it comes to moving stuff around. Don't buy it if you want to move a rugby team or a family of six, but if you want a fuel efficient, low emmission, funky small car, you could do a lot worse.
I guarantee that most of the people answering who have driven it like it.

I have a ford KA and I love it. Not as powerfull as I would like, but very nippy and takes corners like a dream.
The 1.3 engine is big for the small car, so maybe a 1.4-1.6 would be excellent. Takes a while to get top speed, but have had no problems of 100mph+ on the motorway.

I love my KA, I'm even on my 2nd one and thinking of upgrading to a 3rd. My exboyfriend thought he looked a bit of an idiot driving it, but for a 5' girlie like me, it's just the right size.

Yup. Noticed immediately, years ago, when they started turning them out. Sickening styling. And behind a white one on the motorway, the rear hatch looked just like the door on a big washing machine. I could imagine loading a football teams' kit in there, and a box of powder, and letting it wash. But as for driving it, I wouldn't be seen dead in one of them. And look at the 'family identity' Ford now has - all its' cars look the same, just a little smaller or bigger than the others. A Mondeo nose looks like a Focus nose, looks like a Ka-ck nose. YUCCKK!
It's not a crap car. We don't get them in North America, but I was in Europe just a week ago and they look pretty zippy. If I'm not mistaken, they were the cheapest new car for sale at one point for like 5,000GBP.The might be underpowered, but fuel economy is also amazing. The car is ideal for what it was made to do.

It is NOT a crap of a car. Buy a new one for around £5,000 and you will have a 3 years guarantee so no need to buy a second hand car. The vehicle is not only economical but is fun to drive in the same way as old Mini was.It is very roomy for its size and in my opinion an ideal second car for most families.If more people had these instead of monstrous 4x4s which they do not need the roads would be a better place.You have obviously never driven a KA except perhaps a 10 year old worn out one.

They aren't crap. They'd sell like Prius's in the U.S., ultra fuel efficiant and reliable means great car. You just don't know cars.

girly car or a male hairdressers car. my glove box is bigger than the enitre boot. worst of all in an accident. beware rear seat passangers being tailgated by foreign lorries.
with my job i get to drive many different cars and sometimes ford KA's.
now theres is no denying that its a small bubbly ugly looking thing but when you drive one one they are a fantasic little car to drive.
i turned the steering wheel and it went exactly where i wanted it to go. it is not as nippy as every one makes out but still quick enough for its size.
i wouldn't like to go on a long lourney with one though but would happily thrash one about in a carpark if i owned one.
