How can i tell which year my yz 250 is ?

Answers:
Either bring your vin # to a Yamaha dealer (they can tell you) or contact Yamaha (tell them the vin #). The vin # is on the steering neck of the frame. Very front of the frame behind the forks -

TAKE IT TO A MOTOR BIKE SHOP THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO LET YOU KNOW
Look for engine case serial stamped in cast metal parts. Its also sometimes on the transmission, its a marking that any Yamaha dealership parts desk with a computer can match you with.
