Can a Learner Driver carry passengers?
Answers:
They have to have one passenger - one that is qualified. But that person also has to be capable of taking the wheel, so your qualified passenger has to be sober and drug-free.
I think its ok provided there is a licenced driver in the car ,,,, but please check.
Yes
as long as its a licsensed driver over 25
You can carry passengers, when your instructor is driving with you. So only, when you´re not alone.
In the uk yes so long as the person in the front passenger seat has a full drivers license for the vehicle your in,if its a motorcyle the same applies
Yes, as long as they are being supervised by a licensed driver.
Never seen a learner driver having lessons with their mate in the back ?
A learner driver must be supervised by someone of at least 21yrs age and who has held a full driving licence for 3 years. (UK)
Other than that you may carry passengers.
I think whoever is in the front seat should be some one who has been driving for a while, but has got fully comp insurance!! Your driving instructor should be able to confirm this, if you haven't got one, ring one and ask.it's not worth risking yours and other peoples lives if not.
Yes.
But they have to have held a full UK licence for 3 years.
Yes - but there must be at least one person in the car who's held a full licence for over 4 years
United Kingdom answer. As long as the licenced driver is the required legal age and is in the front passenger seat, yes.
33 years ago, in 1973, I had some of my lessons with my five children in the back, when I had no sitter.
However, I was hit by another car on my final lesson, the day before my test was booked and almost killed, thankfully, without them in the car. I passed my test later, and I've had a clean licence all those years.
My advice though, is don't carry passengers, because, however safe you are, the other driver, very often, isn't!
The guy who hit me was an American Serviceman, with an American car, who cut out straight across me as I travelled at over sixty miles.
I survived ONLY because my faith saved me. trust me, it's true. and it amazed the surgeon who said I should be dead. but.
The serviceman only survived, because I hit his empty right hand passenger seat and his car was a stronger build than mine, which was squashed to half it length. My engine had completely disappeared inside the wreckage. but that's another story another day:-)
Drive sensibly and stay safe:-)
yes u can carry passengers so long as your insured ,and that one passenger has to have full driving licence
its all legal till you get cought remember that. its legal as long as you have one of your reletives over 18 years old with a licence of a friend that is over 21 with a licence. at least thats in virginia.
REMEMBER:
ITS ALL LEGAL TILL YOU GET COUGHT!
No, a learner driver is supposed to be LEARNING not carrying passengers,, so the 'teacher' is responsible if any accidents happen
Of course they can.otherwise how would they learn to drive with a co-driver?? And where would the examiner sit? Do'h!!
