How do I align my headlight on my motorcycle?
Answers:
position bike in a straight line facing a wall, bike must be of stand upright with rider seated, measure height from the ground to centre of headlight, now mark a line on wall at this height,
move the bike back 3.8meters from wall & draw a vertical line up the wall central to the centre line of the bike, switch to dip beam & check that the beam patern falls slightly lower than the horizontal line & to the left of the vertical line,

you will have to ask the mot testing station as long as you take your tools with you most will wait while you adjust them if you ask them nicely. Good luck
most decent MOT stations will do it for you for nothing or a couple of quid. I have always found it better to use local garages for MOT's rather than larger companies as My local MOT station will do small adjustments replace bulbs etc for a couple of quid rather than failing it which saves the return visit and a lot of hassle.
1st u'll need a friends help, they must b about the same mass(weight) as u, height doesnt matter, have them sit on the bike while u do the following; at dusk dark or dawn and on a road or 30-40ft from a garage door adjust light such that it touches the ground at that distance on low-beam, with the person on the bike holding handlebars straight, point the light to the side of the road, NOT centered or into oncoming traffic! this will b perfect for high-beam applications as well w/out further adjustment
