How do I apply for a FLT licience?

Coudl anyone please tell me how my hisband can apply for an FLT licience please. He has experience with driving Fork Lift but the company he worked with held the licence.

Answers:
If he passed the flt test the license belongs to him, unless the firm payed for him to do the test and stipulated a time that he had to stay with them. Ask his previous employers or see a solicitor. If he wants to do a course it will cost him but if you are in England he may be able to do one free if he has been out of work for a while. Go to CAB (citizens advice bureau) they may be able to help.

There are many independent FLT training companies who will conduct an approved test which is accepted throughout the industry. Check Yellow pages.
as far as i know each company has thier own requirements to get a forklift license, and there is no generic license that will tranfer everywhere, im not 100% on that but ive never heard of one that will transfer, or any generic forklift liensejust tell him to put on his resume that he did hold a license for forklifts
