What's the best second hand car to buy for 10-14k?
Also I like the BMW 330, good engine, and 4 seater so I can get mates in and golf clubs etc. I want something nippy, 2.5l min. to 3 max, don't want anything bigger than that.
Probably '98 oldest, pref. 00 .. any ideas, and links??

Simple a Saab 93 convertible, ideally with the high output turbo but the low pressure one are good too. These are the most under rated cars in the world. Dare to be different! All Saab drivers have a smug grin on their face for a reason, their cars are brilliant and never cost as much as they look. Enjoy!
Mercedes CLK.if you get an older on and a small engine, say 230, then you may be able to afford on for that price..they are THE BEST on the road.
No matter what you buy, the critical information you need is evidence of the prior owner's having maintained the vehicle properly with regular oil, coolant, transmission, brake, and dealer required tune ups. Also, verify that the car has not had major collision damage in the past.

go for a Range Rover or a late Disco, I have a TD5 Disco & it goes like S**t the later one with the V6 deisel is even better or perhaps u should get the V8 petrol one, now that has got some serious go in it, u also get some serious class & good looks to match in these, plus plenty of room for those golf clubs in the back, there is a good dealer near me if you are interested in good used ones with late registrations
