Dose anyone know what to replace in a new mini if the airbags have blown?

The entire unit must be replaced , and wired by a professional mechanic. Don't take any chances with such an important safety feature. Your insurance should cover the cost for them both, which is somewhere around $2500.
Do you mean blown as in activated? If so I think you can have them re-set, best bet is to go and ask a BMW dealer, find out costs etc, once you have the info you need, try to see if you can get it done cheaper elsewhere by a reputable garage.

Well first of all you will have to replace the airbags.the safest way (most expensive also) is to purchase the new Airbag modules from BMW and have them installed.
Depending on how the airbag system works you will probably also need to replace the , Airbag standby battery, sensors,Airbag computer and/or Controller and maybe force sensors and perhaps even the force limiters or pre-tensioners in the seat belts.
There are places that sell "used" airbags, but i would be carefull and make sure they are real and still in good condition, many times there is no way of really knowing if there is even a bag inside.
Best is to buy new.as I said it will be pricey tho.
After all this you will need to have it all installed by a certified technician to be safe.
