Im' selling my Ford Puma as 'baby forces sale'. Should I repair before rust that appeared on wheel arches ?

Rust is only noticeable if you look in detail. Don't know if I should sell as it is or repair the rust and then sell the car. Would it sell for more (and recover the repair expenses) if I get the thing repaired??

Answers:
the reason the arches rust so bad is because the outer skin is only bent over the inner arch and the pannels are glued together.(no weld)so the rust you can see is nothing to what you will find under neath.the pannel is a arm and a leg, they are all painted in 2k which alone for one ltr of base +clear+activator 60.00 pounds plus ,o and dont forget the clear coat contains isiocyanates so you need a air feed mask my advice would be clean it as best you can and sell as is.
Repair and sell at a slightly higher price. So you have nothing to lose.

I would say that if you're going to do the repair yourself, it may be worth it.

Otherwise (i.e. paying someone to get the rust fixed) - definitely NOT. Please, if you're considering this, don't do it. It will lose you money.

Think about the guys who buy old mustangs or minis and then repair / upgrade them. They always spend so much money they could have got the same car already restored (by another guy just like them who's now "moving on") for far less.
Leave well alone.
best to drop £100 than make a noticeable repair.
Anyone who knows the model of car well is aware that the rust shows through here first.
You can't hide it until you go to mega expense and will only make a potential buyer aware that you have tried to hide rust.
20 yrs ago everyone did it and now only very few even attempt it.
I used to sell bodyfiller/paint and that market is very small nowadays.
Good luck with baby.

Aaaarrrggghhh! Don't sell your kat - you'll never own another car like it. Get a smaller pushchair, do whatever it takes, but don't sell it..
