Wheel bearings?

wheel bearings are gone on my focus, booked in next week to get done. what should bill be approx?any idea? big job or easy to fix

ive dont it once, if you have the right tools its not too bad, you can plobly get a new set for 100 bucks you'll need all new races too. they should come with the bearings

Front or rear? Shouldn't be too bad if rear - maybe a little more if front.
Ford dealers can charge up to £100 per hour plus parts. I know a mechanic that did both my front wheels for £80.
Always ask for a quote including vat and parts.
should not be to hard to fix. i believe they are press in bearings and would require a shop press. the easy way out would be to go to a salvage yard and pick up 2 used ones and have them installed that way. a lot cheaper and less time consuming
should cost between £150-£200 easy 2 fix take about 2 hours 3 fix . don't buy 2nd hand ones could be worn more than ures

Not a major job and garage with correct equipment should do in an hour or so.
Get the garage to tell you what make of bearings they are using beforehand as there are some cheap and nasty ones on the market.
There are many makes which manufacturers use as they are not manufactured by Ford and you want quality rather than price.
Cheap and nasties are for people who want an MOT on their car and are the going to sell it.
If you're keeping it,pay the price and it will serve you well.

Unless you have 200k miles on it I would say you need a second
opinion. It's possible but highly unlikely that the wheel brgs.
are bad. Also, you failed to mention front or back. The backs
are easy and inexpensive. The fronts cost a bit more and are
more difficult and time consuming.
