What is the fastest accelerating superbike from 0-60 mph??

Answers:
I would say that is the Honda Fireblade, of course, that's my opinion, but I've always been partial to the 1981 Rothmans RVF Honda racing bike, they are lovely
y2k super bike with a rolls royce jet engine 0-200 mph in under 10 sec

depends on how big/heavy the rider is.
Suzuki GSXR-1000
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX-1300R . 0-60 in a blink over 3 sec (3.11 was one trial)
the gsxr1300 busa does 0-60 in about 2.75s and onto 100mph in under 10s.

The dodge tomohawk (although a concept bike) does 0-60 in 2.5s!! check it out! :)

A crf 230
It changes pretty much every year when the new models come out, but I'd say the Suzuki GSXR has regularly been more concerned with raw power and acceleration over much else. Personally, I don't like riding them (even on the track) and prefer my Fireblade, which in my opinion handles better and has more _useable_ power.

According to my Haynes manual, the Fireblade can 0-60 in 3.1 seconds out of the factory (i.e. not taking things like race cans and other modications into account) and a standing 1/4 of a mile in 10.8 seconds.
Several bikes of various sizes can do 0-60 in slightly under 3 seconds. Including the Honda CBR600RR, Suzuki GSXR1000, Kawasaki ZX-14, etc. That seems to be about the limit because anything faster would just flip the bike over backwards.

As it is, it takes a VERY skilled rider to do it, so you'll find all kinds of 0-60 numbers for these bikes, depending on who was riding it.
For the street bike (non-custom), BMW K1200 S has 0 to 60 MPH in 2.8 Seconds.
I have owned a Hayabusa and it states it should do 0-60 in 2.75 seconds from the crate!

I believe the new Yamaha Rocket is now the fastest bike at around 2.5 secs although the top end is not very high as very heavy bike with a very large cc.

The hayabusa is the reason why all bikes are now restricted as standard to 186mph (if capable of more)

I agree with the person who said that if bikes were any quicker of the line they would flip so I woulfd say the max has been achieved already.

Spare a thought for Richard Hammond at this time because speed can kill and it takes a very skilled rider to safely achieve his or her bikes stated limit.

RIDE SAFELY!

depends on your "superbike".the busa like stated can do it in 2.7 but last years blade was the fastest at 3.11 with the gixer next at 3.41
If you mean from the factory then prolly GSXR1000, R1, Fireblades are all going to cut it. The chap who said that if bikes were any faster they would flip has clearly forgotten about clutch control, i.e. I have a WR400 in supermoto trim which, due to its gearing puts way more torque to the road in first gear than a GSXR750. The reason I don't flip this shorter, lighter bike is because I have to slip the clutch a bit more, and the reason I isn't faster to 60mph is down to gearing again. My gearbox is so short that by 60mph I am about to change into top gear, the GSXR is still in first. I lose so much time changing gear, and stopping it wheelieing that by 10-15mph the GSXR starts to whoosh past me.

So to answer your question. Any bike which can do more than 60mph in first gear will be f-ing quick, but the ones that are based on WSB bikes will have more racey gearing so will accelerate even quicker.
