Hi, Im just wondering if you are able to drive a 50cc scooter; with a provisional On 'A roads eg (A23)?
Answers:
Everywhere except Motorways.
Dont even think about it unless you have a death wish.
If you must ride A roads on a 50 get an old unrestricted one and tune it, 72cc Honda SS50 is a reasonable main road 50 as is the Garelli Rekord if you bin the silencer baffles. The Garelli is nearly a racer on the road, you have to start on a N3 plug and change to an N54 R when it warms up but they will do 55 as standard where a FS1E will do 40.
Yes - all roads except motorways ;)
"Yes" I can Drive a 50cc scooter with a provisional on 'A road.
ASLNG AS YOU ARE 16 OR OVER AND ARE FIT TO DO SO WITH THE SCOOTER LEGAL
Generally it's Ok but some A roads have sections which are signposted for no 50cc or L drivers e.g. a section of A55 that goes through Colwyn Bay ( for some daft reason )
