Does the dvla really update their tax and car log book records database?

Answers:
Yeah they do, and heres a funny story about car tax.
Four years ago I had an untaxed car parked outside my house. I was watching England v The Argys and saw a copper through my window putting a ticket on the car. I ran outside and stupidly told him I didn't actually have a tax disk, so he gave me two fines, one for not having a tax disk and one for not displaying the tax disk that I didn't have!
I think he was just jealous that he had to work whilst England were playing!
yes!!
Yea
Yep - with information supplied by the public through their freephone reporting number.

Although they apparently "'"know every car without a tax disk"'" -- maybe their advertisement department should re-think that to say "We know every car without a Tax Disk --- thanks to members of the public who report them ------ so we're lying to everyone really"
yes of course except the computer in the back of the car ad is a bit far fetched!
