Do new Honda CG125's(2002) need the engine running for the lights to work?
The only things fed from the battery is, the ignition system, horn, indicators and brake light.
So because of my electrical problem(originally thought was a defective gen..) i found a yellow wire spare , and i wander if that is suposed to be connected to the lighting circuit like earlier models?
If someone has a 2002 model and could look in the owners manual to see where the yellow wire goes, or could look in the headlight bowl for a yellow wire that goes to the headlight switches.
Answers:
yes you do because the lights are powered direct from the magneto
I dont know hun but if no one else can help there's a site for people with problems with Honda's that may be of some use

You can turn the headlights on the Honda cg125 2002 without the engine running if you go to goodyear or halfords which are easy to find because there are a lot of them ask them for a headlight custom which allows the Honda's headlights to be switched on when the engine is turned off I hope this helps you.
